Perfect location, amazing yoga studio & sauna to enjoy with 2 bars in the building.
Bathrooms got a little messy, par for the course for shared bathroom no staff on site.

This is a really quaint place to stay, close to downtown and walkable to destinations. Towels were very soft and beds comfortable. I loved the old town feel of the old building.
One of the bathrooms smelled like an ashtray and you couldn't stand to be in there, let alone feel "clean".
I asked the person how to get to the Duluth walkway and the only answer I received was "it's about a 10 min walk". No directions, no help.
Duluth parking is not convenient. They charge everywhere so because this place has no parking lot, be prepared to pay an extra $15/day to park w/o in/out privileges. The lack of windows made me a little uneasy in case of fire. The rooms are underground and there is only one exit route.

Excellent location in the heart of Duluth. Just 2 doors from Duluth's Best Bread shop which is itself a fine reason to visit Duluth. Easy access to all the fine cafes and shopping and a manageable walk across to the Railway Museum and historic Lift Bridge. For 1st-time visitors to the Great lakes, as I was, this is a great town to start with.
Shared bathrooms are always a variable experience and while this hotel has multiple on each floor, there can still be contention. Just plan your time around that possibility :-)

I loved the vintage charm. I stayed over Christmas and felt like I had the place to myself.
Nothing. I loved it and will now stay EVERY TIME that I visit Duluth.
