A stunning bike ride to reach. A very gracious owner, who personally runs this secluded place and prepares the tasty dinner and breakfast. Like staying in an old world family countryside home. A rustic style indoor onsen, and a peaceful open air rotenburo, in 'the middle of nowhere'. Authentic decor with a feeling of bear country culture. A special place, I sincerely hope I can return too.

Nous avons trouvé dans cet auberge tout ce que nous étions venus chercher. Le calme, l'isolement dans la nature du nord du Japon, l'authenticité d'un lieu visité essentiellement par les amateurs de lieux sauvages et les onsen, bien sûr. Le propriétaire des lieux et le personnel ont été extrêmement gentils et attentifs à nos besoins. Nous les remercions de tout notre cœur.
Ce n'est pas un point négatif, mais il est important d'avoir en tête qu'un tel lieu, aussi isolé, est forcément entouré de nature et d'insectes (magnifiques par ailleurs !) Il faut le savoir si on a du mal à cohabiter avec eux. Enfin, il n'y a pas de climatisation, mais nous n'en avons pas eu besoin, même en été, car les températures sont restées très raisonnables.
