Enjoyable but chilly at times.
Excellent location, a well laid out property. Two bathrooms/three toilets. Clean and well maintained.
Issues getting into the property, nobody answered, either of the phone numbers I was provided for access. Then had to go through Sykes Holiday Cottages as a back up. Eventually, I was provided the four digit code for the lockbox. Not sure why I wasn’t given this a day or two prior to arrival. A lot of issues with the heating, which is controlled by the owner from an app. When the heating goes off at 10am in the winter, the house gets quite cold. At times we were sat with our overcoats on. After several calls to the owner he agreed to keep the heating on all day, but we still couldn’t adjust the temperature , that is solely controlled by the owner from a remote location on his app. Similarly the hot water boiler comes on for one hour in the morning and one hour in the afternoon. Too often we needed a shower and there was no hot water.
