A spur of the moment Sunday morning decision to spend a couple of nights in the Dales and we were fortunate enough to see this cottage was available. Excellent location. A really cosy cottage with a huge comfortable bed. Everything you need for a great stay in Hawes.
There's nothing to dislike about this cottage

I liked everything. Location - it's right next to all the pubs and shops. It's clean, the rooms are spaceous, the beds are comfortable. The log burner is such a good idea in the winter, it makes it so cosy, especially with the furry carpet at the front. Definitely coming back, it's become a favourite spot now for sure.

Beautiful cottage in the middle of Hawes. Very clean with comfortable beds.
Parking spot is tight, but we appreciated being able to park next to the property

Location is great and the cottage is faultless. Has everything you need, very clean, and the beds are so big and so so comfortable

Location, comfortable beds, clean.
Nice big bedrooms.
Kitchen well equipped and modern.
Being very picky - the fluffy rug in living area.
Being a dog friendly cottage it was not really practical. But easily removed whilst we were there.

Cottage was very clean and tidy inside. Kitchen was small but well stocked with everything we needed. Beds very comfy, although pillows probably need replacing soon. Hawes itself is a lovely destination.
The shower had 2 shower heads and unfortunately the large one only worked the first night with some persistence. The small one was temperamental too but we did get that to work the other 2 nights eventually. Biggest issue was car parking. Although private parking for one car it needs to be a very small car for ease. As access road is very narrow it took a while to get our car in and out as we have a fairly large car, bit of a challenge. Could do with another armchair too for comfort.

Easily accessed lockbox with code being sent to us well in advance of stay
Not a complaint by any means as car parking is at a premium at this location ….. but, the private parking space is small and very tight to access - we struggled to park with a LR Defender 90 (the old type !). Maybe a note on the property description will help manage expectations in case future visitors need to park elsewhere.

Comfortable, ideally situated property.
Quite hard to find the exact location- did 4 laps of the one way system!!
Parking a bit tight even though my car isn’t huge- but it’s a bonus to have on site parking and you can’t make it any bigger!!

Fantastic location in Hawes. Very close to town centre.
For 4 adults it could do with another chair.

Homely, well equipped, clean, comfortable, great location for Hawes and surrounding area
Parking was tight and the one-way access road was frequently blocked - I had to reverse the wrong way up a narrow one-way lane to get to the cottage.

Loved this wee house...
especially loved how cosy it was with the real log fire on, loved the traditional decor, the comfy beds, the fab location and the house had everything we needed for the perfect home away from home for a few days.
Nothing not to like, no issues.
If I was being picky only thing I'd say is more Kindling & Logs for real fire could be left out for us to use, sitting in front of fire at night was our favourite part, there was only enough to get fire going & burn for say couple hours, so none left for the other nights of our stay. I felt more could have been provided, given price we paid for the house. Thats only reason I rated a 9 instead of a 10. The local shop selling Logs was shut by time we got home on 2nd night so couldn't use fire. We managed to buy a big bag of Logs & Kindling on last night which we left there, so hopefully these are left out for next person 😁 we'd love to revisit soon, so hopefully we'll get more logs next time when it's colder. Thanks.

Cosy getaway hidden in the centre of a beautiful Yorkshire Dales village.
The subtle beautiful decor mirrors the stunning exposed stone, oak and history of the dwelling.
We enjoyed returning to the cottage after days on the hills where a ready built log fire awaits, along with off road parking in an area where parking is sought after.
Everything kitchen wise is supplied along with cleaning items and condiments to ice in the mini freezer.
The master bedroom in the eaves of the cottage is not justified by the photos online. It’s absolutely stunning.
We loved the minimalist decor and choose our cottages by not having to sit in someone else’s left over chintz. At Chapel Cottage it’s styled and quietly chic with a rustic edge.

Great location, lovely rooms, shower in bathroom very powerful and warm. Tastefully decorated and very comfortable beds.
Quality linen and towels.
Parking at property for only 1 car and quite tight.
Bedroom curtains too think and let's light in, winter duvet on bed far too warm but nice quality.
Could do with a cooking tray or 2.
Would have like a little welcome information pack maybe with local walks etc.
