About this house rental
Our Gorch Fock house is located in a very quiet spot on the outskirts of town, just about 3 km from the natural beach in Tremt and the Baltic Sea Coastal Hiking Trail, and 6 km from the swimming beach in Stahlbrode. Using the bicycles provided, you can cycle to the Baltic Sea in just about 20 minutes via quiet side streets or bike paths. The small ferry terminal in Stahlbrode is just as easy to reach. The ferry runs every 20 minutes, taking you—with your car or bicycles—to Rügen, where you’ll quickly reach a beautiful, flat, and sandy natural beach at Palmer Ort Strand. You can reach Stahlbrode via Reinberg. From there, you can bike along the bike path parallel to the road to Stahlbrode or via Falkenhagen (follow the signs). In Stahlbrode, turn left, pass the harbor, and head toward the campground until you reach the beach.
There are additional beaches in Greifswald-Eldena (approx. 15 km), in Ludwigsburg, and in Lubmin (a classic seaside resort), as well as numerous others on Rügen. The beach in Altefähr, located near the harbor, is particularly beautiful, offering a view of Stralsund’s old town. There is a children’s playground, a climbing area, restrooms, and a small restaurant. A ramp even allows wheelchair users to access the water.
There is plenty to see and do in the picturesque Hanseatic cities of Greifswald and Stralsund, each about 15 km away. Extensive informational material is available at the vacation home. For day trips, we recommend the islands of Rügen, Hiddensee, and Usedom, as well as Fischland and the Darß Peninsula, and the cities of Rostock and Szczecin.
Our vacation home is located in a very rural setting. Guests coming from the city enjoy the peace and quiet of country life. It is simply yet functionally and comfortably furnished, and with its country-house charm, it offers everything you need for a relaxing vacation. You can spend relaxing vacation days in the large garden with a patio and grill. And the large loft with satellite TV in the attic is an ideal playroom and lounge area for children when the weather is bad. On the first floor, there is a hallway and bathroom, a large kitchen-diner with a corner bench, a bedroom with a double bed, and a living room/bedroom with a sofa bed for two people. The entire property is heated by central gas heating, making it comfortable to stay in even during the transitional seasons or winter.
Enjoy your vacation however you like: At lovely natural beaches, in sophisticated lakeside resorts, on a discovery tour, or simply in the cozy, child-friendly vacation cottage.
