About this house rental
Panoramic ocean views steal the show at this private, original adobe retreat, a paradise rich in charm and attention to detail. Nestled atop the foothills of Vista in San Diego's North County, this three-bedroom. The home features three king bedrooms, an office with a double trundle bed, and four bathrooms throughout the property, offering comfort and convenience for larger groups. As you wind up the palm-lined private gated driveway, you're welcomed by a grand fountain inspired by the Bethesda Fountain in New York City's Central Park. Originally built in 1926, this secluded adobe estate sits on 1.45 acres and showcases timeless character with original Spanish tiles, brickwork surrounding the great room fireplace, exposed wood beams, and solid wood doors throughout. Spanning over 3,000 square feet, the main house consists of three connected structures joined by a covered loggia. The expansive kitchen features two ovens, a side-by-side refrigerator, and a dedicated dining area, with additional alfresco dining available on the veranda off the main living room. The outdoor spaces feel like a private resort, featuring a full outdoor kitchen, multiple dining areas, a large BBQ setup, and a waterfall that flows through three soaking pools into a tropical saline pool. A 38-foot waterslide adds a fun resort-style touch. The game room includes a pool table, darts, a 75-inch TV, and direct access to a whirlpool tub just outside. With unobstructed west-facing views, you can see Catalina and San Clemente Islands on clear days. The property offers true California indoor-outdoor living surrounded by lush landscaping, including an orchard of citrus and fruit trees. NOTE: No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises. Maximum occupancy is strictly enforced. Pool heat is available for $200 per day with a three-night minimum. This home has multiple levels connected by stairs and may not be suitable for children or guests with limited mobility. No events are allowed.

We loved this vacation home! Our family had an amazing time. The house was super cozy, the pool was amazing for hanging out, and the decoration made everything feel stylish and comfortable.

The property is stunning! The house is beautifully decorated with everything you could need, even a juicer to enjoy all the citrus fruit from the large orchard. The beds were really comfy. The pool is amazing with a long water slide and gorgeous views. Poolside is a great place to relax or set up to work and enjoy the sunshine and breeze. Taking an evening stroll past the fruit trees around to the top along the pooand down by the massive fountain adorning the circular drive provides stunning sunset views. It’s clear the owners take wonderful care of this spectacular place. Booking and check-in was easy and clear. Just an all-around great experience. I’m looking forward to my next stay.

This was an amazing experience! We enjoyed every moment. Swimming, sliding, picking fruit and juicing, the pool table, gazing out at the gorgeous views. We loved it!!
Something to note for people traveling with children. All of the bedrooms are accessed outside. There is a main living area with kitchen, dining room and living room. Covered walkways lead to the bedroom/bathroom combos, but they are not accessible from the main house. This was fine for us because our children enjoyed the set up but it would not have worked when they were younger. There is one bedroom that has a guest bed attached so parents could stay with smaller children in there.
The pool area is paradise, i could stay there for days never wanting a thing. Both kitchens are fully stocked. One tip would be having more beach towels. There were 6 for us which was enough but a larger party would want more. Small critique.

We were so excited to rent this property because of the pool, waterfall, and slide for our ladies trip to relax and have an amazing view and fun time with the pool. It was fabulous for the first two days but then the waterfall, slide and all together the pool pump stopped working. I tried contacting management and it was handled very poorly and it did not get fixed. We were mostly upset that no one even came to look at the pool over the 24 hours I had been reaching out.
We specifically rented this property for the soul reason of the pool but we were disappointed the third and fourth day it wasn’t working. They offered $20 at first to reimburse us then agreed on $100. With spending $3400 we just didn’t feel that was a justifiable reimbursement since people most likely would rent this property for its pool and amenities.
Another part that was not mentioned is the chickens/ roosters that apparently are on the land tight by the house. They woke us up every morning at 4:30 which was not pleasant.
Overall it was a nice spot, but wouldn’t go back.
