About this cottage rental
Semi-detached house adjoining another dwelling and the owners' house. Entrance with separate WC. Laundry room (washing machine, sink). Living room (TV) with open-plan kitchen (oven, ceramic hob, dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer, microwave, espresso machine and filter coffee maker). Decorative fireplace. Upstairs, a triple bedroom (double bed 140x190cm + single bed 90x190cm), en-suite shower room with WC. No internet box in the cottage but efficient 4G network. Central heating (heat pump) included. Bed linen provided and beds made upon arrival. Towels provided. Cleaning service available at an extra cost. Private unfenced garden. Terrace. Garden furniture. Electric barbecue. Parking. Located within a long stone building where the owners reside, this cottage is ideal for guests seeking peace and quiet. The living room is warm and inviting with its original fireplace and hemp and lime plasterwork. A few steps down lead to a small, very quiet private garden with a large west-facing terrace. Hikers are invited to explore the many sunken lanes of the surrounding bocage countryside (signposted on site), unless you prefer to ride in this region where horses reign supreme (St. Lô stud farm). The village is the cradle of a modest family, the Hautevilles, who left in the Middle Ages to found a powerful kingdom in Sicily and southern Italy. A free museum recounting this epic journey is open all summer. The Etang des Sarcelles pond is 5 km away. Coutances and its cathedral are 14 km away.
