The Stay 1 - Navy Yard Washington DC

Clean. Convenient.

Nothing.

Very clean and comfortable apartment - perfect for our stay x 3 people. We were met on arrival and all arrangements for our stay were explained . We enjoyed the location with nice bars / restaurants to walk to . We could also walk to Capitol Hill and main attractions within 30 mins. Would highly recommend

The location was a highlight, and the surrounding property was very nice. There were plenty of areas to explore and walk and having access to a very nice well-kept gym and amenities was a plus. On other weekends, I guess it would have been better to make use of the pool and wonderful roof when not off limits.

We requested parking several weeks in advance in which the apartment owner said "Yes, no problem. I'll provide a parking spot" Fast forward to the day I check in, and I receive generic information about Resident garage parking and how much it costs per day, which I was already aware of. I want more information so it goes smoothly, so I message the owner when I'm 20 minutes away how the parking worked and I get a reply "Parking would be AC hotel or wholefoods overnight parking" I replied back but we did request parking. At the property there is no clear parking garage, the only thing I see is an entrance with its door down that looks like its closed and no visible access points. I didn't get any clear direction. I temporary park in front, go inside to the downstairs manager, and he said I should have been given a parking pass and make sure I park in the spot they told me or I'd get towed. I'm confused because I didn't get any of this information. Then I ask how I get into the garage. They showed me the access panel on the other side of a pillar, again which I wasn't explained to me. Drive in, see no room number which I thought it would be. I get a bad feeling, so I message the owner again. I finally get a message saying " The current parking is full-we do have specific number allocated so at this point we are advising all guests to utilize AC hotel or wholefoods across the street" I ended up paying for valet at AC hotel after almost 45 minutes trying to figure the parking out, and didn't get in the room yet! Then we get to the room, yes, it's nice and all but the description said it had a sofa bed and 3 beds available. False, there was no sofa bed, which my family was banking on. the last issue we had is that we could never use the pool because it was "reserved, there was a party.
