Downtown Boat-Apartment

Charming location and very convenient- 5 minutes to the main tram lines and just a couple more to central station. Gorgeous out on the water and reasonably well-equipped.

It's a boat so it's not insulated . There are space heaters (but be careful not to run them and the kettle lest you throw the circuit breaker) and warm blankets but it's still a bit chilly in <5oC weather. Showers and more robust toilets are available on shore - no hot water on the boat best i could tell.

The host is very nice and helpful. The boat has everything you could wish for (provided the circumstances). The location is very practical, close to the central station and to the centre. A lot of things are provided for your comfort. All in all, it's an adventure and experience to stay on a boat, with all the pros and cons, as one might expect.

In the beginning, there were some issues with the codes for getting on the boat and to the building with the toilet and shower, which was later solved. Although there are electric radiators, an electric blanket, nice warm blankets in the bed and everything possible, it was still very cold on the boat, especially on the first night (I think because it wasn't really heated before we arrived). The heating didn't function too well during the day (maybe because of other people also using electricity in the harbor). From the second day, it got a bit better, but still, if you are sensitive to cold, I would recommend to sleep on a boat only in better weather (when the night temperatures are not too low). Also, you need to go out for shower and toilet to another building, which is of course understandable, but in cold weather it really needs some extra preparation.

Eine besondere Erfahrung auf einem Boot zu übernachten! Insgesamt ist das Boot sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht.

Da wir im Winter auf dem Boot übernachtet haben, war es insgesamt sehr kalt. Der Heizlüfter und die Wärmedecke haben geholfen, allerdings hätten wir uns gewünscht, dass mehr Vorkehrungen getroffen werden, wenn das Boot im Winter vermietet wird. Außerdem wurde kurz vor unserem Aufenthalt das Bad neu gestrichen. Leider war dadurch ein sehr starker Geruch nach Lackfarbe vorhanden und da es sehr kalt war, konnten wir auch nicht ausreichend lüften, um den Geruch anhaltend zu reduzieren. Wir haben uns daraufhin entschieden die zweite Nacht in einem Hotel zu verbringen. Leider hat sich der Besitzer auf unsere Nachricht mit dem Feedback nie zurückgemeldet, was wir persönlich sehr schade fanden.

The location was fantastic. Gregor the host was very responsive and helpful.

For me, nothing. But anyone staying has to understand they’re staying on a boat, not a hotel room. I liked the very different ambience. Some people wouldn’t.
