Taco Shack Diving Hostel Restaurant

Good hostel, social events on but quiet after 11pm. Great location less than 10 minutes down to the beach, plenty of shops and restaurants around. Rooms and beds cleaned each day which was great. Would definitely stay again

Room and bathroom very basic

- The location is great. Short walk to Sairee beach / bars and restaurants. - Good air conditioning in the room. - lots of bike rentals nearby. - Provide a shuttle bus to the pier for your ferry. - Good AC. - would be good for solo travellers as they offer good social opportunities.

- Not great value for money. The private rooms are very basic. - You only get a new towel every two days, something you’re not told at booking. - we were there one week and no bed sheets changed, told it would be an extra cost if we did get them changed. - The rooms are extremely humid, they have a humidifier and sometimes the humidity was reading at 80% plus. - Bathrooms are small and basic. Drainage is poor so when you shower, the whole bathroom gets really wet.

Locatie, sfeer, algemene ruimte. De Ac die de hele dag aan staat!!

Het enige waar aandacht voor nodig is de deur van de kamer. Die slaat met een flinke vaart dicht. Er werd een team meeting gehouden met het personeel midden in het hostel rond 9 uur. Onprettig om aan te horen hoe de feedback werd gegeven aan de medewerkers. Dit had echt anders gekund en veel vriendelijker!!

It was in a good location - about 5 minutes walk to Sairee village and 10 minutes walk to Sairee beach. There is a small mart next door that works if you need water, drinks, cosmetics or snacks. It was close to everything but just enough removed that there was minimal noise at night so we could sleep properly. It was well air conditioned and works well for travellers on a budget who will be spending most of their time out and about.

The private room was dark and felt a bit dated. There wasn’t much view from the window or balcony and the bathroom was very small and cramped. The floors in the bedroom sometimes felt damp and there was a damp smell from the bedding. Despite there being a sign saying rooms were cleaned daily, our room wasn’t cleaned once in our 7 night stay. The room was also located in a separate building across the road from the main hostel so it didn’t feel as social as other hostels.
