Welcome to this exquisite, designer dream getaway just one block from Shoreline Park and its sweeping bluff-top views overlooking the sails of boating enthusiasts and surfers at Leadbetter Beach. Locals love this spot for its beauty and energy — and visitors get a front-row seat to the action.
This coastal cottage with distinct modern farmhouse style blends crisp design with relaxed California style. Behind the welcoming entry fencing, the home feels both private and airy, with various patios wrapping around the living spaces. The neighborhood is friendly and filled with locals walking, biking, strolling, heading to the beach, and enjoying life!
Inside, the living room with soaring volume ceiling features a unique built-in sofa with tv and a wall of custom library shelving filled with great books. Bi-fold doors open wide to the front dining terrace, making indoor-outdoor living, and dining, effortless. Natural textures, comfortable linens, art, and tasteful, casual elegance are palpable throughout.
The kitchen shines with stainless steel open shelving floating across white subway tile, and filled with culinary accessories to serve tasty meals. Warm wood accents, a spacious island, and high-quality appliances are perfect for everything from quick breakfasts to full dinners.
Outside, there are multiple places to unwind: a cozy outdoor living room off the kitchen with a large sectional is restful and serene. In the back, is a turf yard with fire-pit seating and hot tub nearby. My husband and I stayed at the Golden Coast Oasis for a month and absolutely loved it. The location truly can't be beat — just a block from Shoreline Park, the beach, and all the charm and offerings of the East Mesa neighborhood.
The house itself is a gem: thoughtfully designed, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with all the necessities, which we really appreciated since we cooked often and took full advantage of the amazing nearby farmers markets. The outdoor space was an added bonus and made the home feel even more special.
Vacation Rentals of Santa Barbara was also wonderful to work with, providing thoughtful recommendations and excellent support throughout our stay. We miss it already and can't wait to be back!

The house is in a fabulous location, only one block to shoreline park and very close to the playground there which was great for our 19 month old. House is beautifully remodeled with a stocked kitchen, ample outdoor hang out and dining spaces all around the house as well. The hot tub was heated and glorious and the check in and check out process was very simple. Bonus for music lovers is they have a surround sound Sonos speaker setup in every area of the house that we took full advantage of. Thank you for our stay, we will be back!
