The Bougainvilla Homestay

The property is located on a quiet street short distance from many nice places to visit. The room I stayed in was cool and I only needed a fan and didn’t turn on AC even once. The room was immaculately clean and the bed was super comfortable, I had a great sleep every night. I enjoyed cooking in the shared kitchen that was well equipped and it was so convenient that I could buy yummy eggs directly from my lovely hosts who took great care of all my needs.

This is probably the best homestay you can ever find, the hosts (Titus and his daughter Susan) are really nice and warm, they also share with you the list of the places and activities you can do. The homestay is immaculate and is beautiful, especially the common area that they provide for their guests. The location is also perfect, you are in a stone's throw distance from Fort Kochi and yet is very peaceful. If you're coming during Christmas, this homestay will be your best bet to see the Asia's largest Christmas tree as it is right opposite to that. I can't thank the hosts enough for providing us with such a good experience.

The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-equipped with modern amenities like AC and comfortable bedding. Hosts were exceptionally friendly, allowed us an early checkin since we arrived earlier and also provided helpful tips on local spots.

Nestled about 2 kilometres from the bustling Fort Kochi area, this charming homestay is a little sanctuary you'll instantly fall in love with. Right across from the sprawling Veli ground, surrounded by lush mango, chickoo, and other fruit trees, it's the kind of place where you wake up not to an alarm, but to the sweet chorus of birdsong. Close enough to Fort Kochi to explore everything the area has to offer, yet wonderfully calm and unhurried — it truly offers the best of both worlds.While you're there, make sure you don't miss the magnificent rain tree standing tall in Veli ground. Locals affectionately call it the Christmas Tree, and during the festive season it's lit up in all its glory — an absolute gem that will stay with you long after you've left.My room on the second floor, reached by a charming flight of stairs, opened onto a lovely balcony with a beautiful view of Veli ground — the perfect spot to sip a morning cup of tea and simply breathe it all in.But what truly made this stay special were the hosts, Genie and Titus. Warm, welcoming, and genuinely caring, they made me feel like family from the moment I arrived. On my very first day, a strike had shut everything down in the area, and I found myself unsure where to even find a meal. Without a second thought, Genie stepped in and served me the most delicious, wholesome breakfast and lunch — a gesture that touched my heart deeply.Every little detail about this homestay was just right. It's heartfelt, homely, and absolutely wonderful value for money. Highly recommended!
