Where do I begin, and how long have you got? I have visited Langkawi on 11 occasions, staying at internationally recognized names.This time I traveled alone and wanted a new experience. This was the first time that Langkawi "visited me" There is so much to relate in a positive sense. Firstly - Mr Bel, what a host. He became the early morning face and sound of breakfast as he delivered the most tasty of breakfasts each morning. It was like a friend visiting and providing updates for the day on weather and local events. There was also a most welcome visit each day of Poppy, the neighbours cat! I am not a cat man, but Poppy got to me :) The room and facilities were excellent and I felt like I was part of the whole experience and the location is a major factor in that. If you want the "influencer" experience then go somewhere else. If you want to relate to and take in real Langkawi, Malaysia experiences, stay at Bloc. Its location is in the heart of a beautiful and natural setting. Mother hens wander with chicks. Roosters parade and protect. Now, decision time - Mr Bel alerted me to the natural sounds and timing of a very reliable Cockerel wake up call and reminders throughout the day. I loved that. I knew I was in a truly living place. Surrounding properties also support a real rural experience and while the location is remote - 20 minute walk to Cenang or Tengah, and might be a barrier to those who require everything " here and now", the experience of walking or riding (I had a scooter) through reality and not a brochure is truly a cleansing experience for all who want to be enriched. Finally, Mr Bel was a perfect connecting medium between his guests and a wonderful island. I will drop by again. Thank you Mr B. :)

My Leaving!!!. PS: Definitely NOT a "Don't like"but I traveled in low season and many of the nearby, on your doorstep facilities, restaurants were open intermittently., but mini mart and coffee shop at the entrance to Bloc were up and running. Cenang was fully operational and great massages for the end of day.

Everything! The accommodation was clean, peaceful, very well equipped and had everything we needed. The location was perfect, close to Cenang while still being quiet. Bell was an absolutely wonderful host: incredibly kind, welcoming and always happy to help with anything, from scooter rental to restaurant and beach recommendations. He even prepared two delicious complimentary breakfasts for us, and you could really feel the care and love he puts into everything. Bell truly made our stay special!

Honestly, nothing! Everything was perfect. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer.

As everyone here has mentioned, Bell is such a delightful host. He makes you feel well looked-after. His property is clean, secure, and nice and quiet.
