Little Chenang Cottage Motel Langkawi

Cute little place with a very short walk to the beach. Street food stalls every night right next door. Bed was comfortable. Staff were lovely and helpful, and easily contactable. Air con worked fine. Room was small but perfectly fine for sleeping in. Having a small fridge was good for keeping drinks cold. Nice and quiet with almost no traffic noise all day and night. Short walk to local stores and 7-11. For a small budget hotel it was great for a few days stay

I would have liked a kettle. Tv was tiny and almost no channels to watch but that’s really nothing to complain about at all especially if you’re only there for sleeping.

The location was perfect, just 5 minutes from the beach and all other facilities. The host seemed a nice guy even though we did not meet in person. Has an outside sitting place to enjoy the rain :), there is free parking. There is a free water dispenser in the corridor, and there is a small common area with sofas.

It was not the cleanest, specially the toilet and under the sink, the sink was in the room instead of bath room. The drainage was blocked which meant whenever you shower there will be flood in the bathroom, which took time to completely drain. One big issue was the toilet plumbing, whenever someone from other rooms in the same building flushed their toilets our toilet was probably getting back the dirty waste water with stuff... It is quite noisy when it rains or whenever somebody from other rooms are walking or talking in the corridor. You might be welcomed by ants if you leave anything edible anywhere in the room.

With this price, the best location you can find. Free outside parking space, local food court just 1 min of walk. While nearby chenang beach restaurants demand higher price for food (16 to 20RM+), the nearby food court offers the best price (7-13RM+). Self check in, but the management live nearby. Once i locked myself out, they came instantly. Overall its very convenient to stay. Not the 3 star type, but with the price and location, its good. Chenang beach is 3 min away.

AC takes time to cover the room. But it works.
