Cozy Volcanic Rainforest House

I absolutely loved staying here. The place was very comfortable, cozy, and had everything I needed. The full kitchen allowed me to cook healthy, delicious meals, which made the stay even more enjoyable. It felt less like a rental and more like a home away from home. Thank you for creating such a warm and welcoming space!

The home was beautiful, spacious and spotless surrounded by rainforest and close to Volcano National Park and my favorite orchid nursery. The Volcano room was clean and with its own bathroom. Large shared living room and beautiful kitchen with coffee and tea.

I was a bit nervous arriving in the dark because it is at the end of a dark gravel road. Was happy to find a lovely, cozy home!

Convenient location if you want to be very close to Volcano National Park. The kitchen and living area were both lovely & well stocked. Everything was clean. Hosts provided lots of helpful information for check in etc. Handy to have my own side door, this made it easier getting things in from the car when it was torrential rain.

The room was very outdated and bare. It felt like sleeping in a neglected old spare room. The sheets were mismatched, the rug/carpet was old and outdated, the artwork, curtains and furniture all felt very old and neglected- all of this led to the feeling of it being unclean even though the room and the property were all clearly cleaned thoroughly. There was no lamp in the bedroom, so my only option was full brightness or complete darkness. This did not feel worth $100 per night and I ended up leaving early as I preferred to stay in a hostel. Beware: 1)The road leading up to the property is full of potholes so be careful if you’re driving in the dark as I was. 2)There is also no signal in the area, so despite the hosts very detailed check in instruction, I wasn’t able to access the message and got very very lost in a dark and scary area for around an hour- so be sure to download this information before hand!
