Tide and Tribe hostel

Beds were pretty good (curtains, aircon at night). I appreciate that they sold me tempeh and tofu from their stocks when I discovered that the one I'd bought in the shop had gone off

The kitchen for dorm guests is not very usable (lacks some of the most basic things, like a pot for cooking rice or pasta (there's only a pan), salt, oil, more than one cooker). Not what I was expecting from "cook for yourself just like at home", more of a pancake frying station. All areas except rooms themselves are smoking areas

La struttura è nuova, si trova a 3 minuti dal centro di kuta, molto pulita, hai a disposizione una cucina attrezzata, puoi noleggiare scooter e organizzare lezioni di surf. I proprietari sono adorabili e molto disponibili.

Very clean and tidy. Dorm was very comfortable - good ac, okay wifi, good curtains. Small communal area, good vibes in the mornings and evenings and in general. Very friendly and helpful owners!

The price was great, you can’t find much for under 150k these days. The bed was comfortable and the curtains were a bonus for privacy. The breakfast pancake was nice to have before the long drive north and the location was good for starting a run to the east in the morning.

The saloon doors to the bathroom are very loud and squeaky so it is impossible to not wake others up when using the toilet early in the morning. The sliding door to the room is also very loud. Though the sheets and towels seemed clean, which is important, the bathrooms and toilets could use a deep clean for sure. Also, the water in the sink and showers had a strong sulfur smell. Lastly, the gallon water was empty so I notified them before going out to dinner and came back hours later and it was still empty so I had to go back out to buy water for my long run in the morning. Just some things to know to prepare your expectations.
