Station House

It’s the second time we’ve stayed here in the last couple of months. It’s very comfortable and modern with washer dryer . It’s ideally located just 2 minutes from the train station & 5 minutes to town.

Unfortunately on this occasion. The property had not been cleaned properly. The food bin was on the kitchen table, lid open & full of stew . There were no T. Towels. Soap dispenser in upstairs bathroom was empty and a pile of dark hair on rug in living room. Not sure if it was regular cleaner but it wouldn’t put us off from staying again. Merely pointing out that this needs monitoring

Location of the property is a few minutes walk into the town, not too far. Its right opposite the leisure centre as well. Rooms are decorated nicely and comfy beds. There was tea, coffee and milk provided which was a nice touch. The host was very pleasant and sorted out a heating issue swiftly when we arrived.

A mirror in the downstairs bathroom and bedroom would have been welcome. There was no drying towel in the kitchen to dry dishes. The rubbish bin in the kitchen was overflowing from the previous occupants and there were no bins liners to enable us to take the rubbish out. The courtyard was also littered with cigarette butts which hadn't been cleared up. Although it says free parking available on the property description this is not entirely true as its permit parking only outside the property and on street paid parking in the day if you need to leave your car.
