Family Home 1 Centru Palas Mall

The apartment was VERY nice, clean, modern, spacious, in a location near many places we wanted to visit, with good & easily accessible underground parking space. It had a washing machine, and they provided a drying rack for the deck outside. There were plenty of storage for our clothes. There was lots of electrical outlets to plug our chargers/phones/laptops. The kitchen was nice with everything needed to cook with (just bring the food/condiments/seasonings).

The communication with the host could have been better. I had to reach out a few times for him to send me the instructions for check-in, including where/how to park, how to get the keys to the apartment, which apartment/floor to go to, etc. Normally, when I book a location via Booking.com, there's instructions given under the details under "Check-in Instructions." There were minimal instructions written down. Eventually, he seemed more reachable when I was calling him (and I had to use WhatsApp & wifi, since I my phone from the USA doesn't have an international cellphone plan), and then he finally sent me written instructions on how to access the apartment via WhatsApp. (He even told me to buy a SIM card to talk with hosts in Romania... which I ended up doing, but it didn't work well with my phone since my phone was locked to my provider: T-Mobile). It would be wonderful if the host included all those instructions directly into Booking.com, so guests can see them before they head out.

The one-bedroom apartment is perfect for a stay of 2–3 people. We had everything we needed during our visit. The double size bed was very comfortable, and the linens were clean and fresh. Having a TV in the bedroom in addition to the one in the living room was a plus for us. The living room was uncluttered and featured a comfortable sectional sofa where one person could sleep comfortably. The kitchen was well equipped with plates, cutlery, pots, and pans, and there was also a microwave and a gas stove available. I would suggest adding a couple more cups. I especially liked the espresso coffee maker, which can be used with any coffee rather than pods. There is a small earing counterop with 2 chairs. The bathroom was spacious, bright and clean. Overall, the apartment is modern and is located in a brand-new building in a quiet area but still central. Lots of light and sunshine during the day; the darkening curtains make both living room comfortable if needed. Good AC in the living room. There was no noise inside from neighbours or from outside. Naturally, you can hear the street noise during the day while sitting on the spacious balcony. Beautiful views of this part of the city especially at nighttime when there is almost no traffic. The location is excellent — about a 10-minute slow-paced walk to the entrance of Palas Mall and around 15- 20 minutes walking to the old city center with lots to see while getting there through the cultural heart of the city. The city itself is vibrant, and each year it becomes more evident that the efforts to showcase Iași’s unique character and strengths are truly paying off. There are many grocery stores nearby the building, including one open 24/7. The apartment is also close (5 minute walk) to Palas Campus, which has great restaurants and coffee shops. The area felt very safe, and public transportation was easily accessible in all directions of the city.
