The Space:
Welcome to The Star House, a peaceful Hill Country ranch retreat with sweeping views, private acreage, and a quiet setting less than 5 minutes from downtown Wimberley. Although the home feels secluded and rural, it offers easy access to the town’s boutique shops, restaurants, parks, and hiking trails, as well as the iconic Blue Hole Regional Park, just a short drive away.
Inside, the home features 2 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, comfortably sleeping four guests. Both bedrooms include king-size beds and private ensuite bathrooms—one with a spacious walk-in shower and the other with a tub/shower combo. The additional half bath is conveniently located at the front of the home. Natural light fills the open-concept living area, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for gathering, relaxing, or enjoying a quiet evening after exploring.
The expansive wrap-around deck is the heart of the home, offering beautiful views of the hills and valley. This outdoor space includes a propane grill, outdoor dining table, comfortable patio furniture, loungers, and a hammock perfect for reading or napping in the fresh Hill Country breeze. Wildlife regularly roams the property, adding to the serene and unplugged experience.
The fully stocked kitchen includes everything you need for cooking at home, plus both a drip coffee maker and a Keurig with coffee, creamers, and sweeteners provided. Our stay here was perfect! Let me start by saying the view from the deck was beautiful! We decided to cook one night instead of going out just to spend time there! The house had everything you would want. The kitchen was very well stocked. The beds were extremely comfortable. It was very homey and inviting. Will definitely stay here again when we come back to the area!

My husband and I along with our cousin and his wife stayed here for 3 nights. What a beautiful place. One of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. So clean and welcoming. And, the wrap around back porch was the perfect place to have our morning coffee. The view was awe inspiring. This place is the perfect spot to visit not only Wimberly, but all the surrounding areas planned in our trip. We ate dinner at the Creekhouse in downtown Wimberly, drove to Gruene the next day and ate at the famous Gristmill. Yum! Rode the glass-bottom boats in San Marcus and ate barbeque at the Salt Lick in Driftwood. This house is centrally located for all and a warm and cozy place to come home to. Thank you for the wonderful stay in this beautiful place. Highly recommend!!!! Sincerely, Karen and James
