Historic apartment in Old Town

You cannot beat the location at this price point. The host was responsive to challenges we experienced and went above and beyond to resolve them ensuring we were taken care of. The bed was comfortable, nice that plenty of toilet paper and washer pods were provided. Loved the Barrel Burgers very vegetarian friendly dining option just a 1 munite walk out the door as well as the Asian reataurant, cafes (Fika!), gelato.. Would stay here again.

Staying in a historic building has some compromises so be prepared to walk up a loosely spiraling staircase with your luggage, duck your head at door openings if y feet tall or above, tight quarters in the bathroom, bring your own hair products (shampoo and conditioner) and use your towels sparingly. Summer daylight most of the 24 hours means bring your own face mask for a good nights sleep and earplugs wouldn't hurt for the early morning deliveries. I wouldn't recommend for non-active or elderly guests.

The apartment is right in the heart of all the action in Gamla Stan. Everything on the island is within walking distance and easy to find. You are two floors up on a busy tourist street so expect noise both late at night and early in the morning. The apartment is also very old so expect uneven floors and wonky doors etc. All part of the charm. Everything worked fine and we had everything we needed. There are a couple of convenience stores close by to get essentials and there are bars and restaurants everywhere! A boat trip to the archipelago is recommended and there are some nice walks around adjoining islands.

Beliggenheden suveræn - Det er en gammel lejlighed i et gammelt hus fra 1643 og det både ses, høres og mærkes. Forstået således at gulve, døre og vinduer er skæve, og det knager i det gamle træværk. Men det er også en charmerende lejlighed, som er udstyret med alt hvad man skal bruge, vaskemaskine, komfur, ovn, el-kedel osv osv. Wifi fungerer også upåklageligt

It's in the main street of the old town so you can reach any location there by foot in a few minutes. The apartment itself looked like the pictures on booking.com.

The street is one of the main streets in the old town so very busy and loud (restaurants open until after midnight, deliveries starting at 6 am so hard to get some sleep. The building of the apartment is very old and run down, there are many big cracks in the walls and the windows are not isolated at all. Plus, the door of the apartment is not a real door/ more like a wooden door for a basement compartment , the lock was hard to open / close. (also the key box was very hard to open although we got the right code).
