This was a perfect location for our first visit to Stockholm. It was very easy to get to via the metro / on foot from the central train station, and the host's arrival instructions for getting in the front door and obtaining the interior key were very easy to follow. You will need to navigate cobblestones and two flights of curving stairs, so keep that in mind if you have unwieldy luggage or mobility issues. The room is a good size, with a comfortable bed and conveniently located power outlets. The view overlooking a little alley was pretty. The little kitchenette was sufficient for prepping coffee and storing chilled beverages / snacks; it's a very small space but decently equipped and you could easily prepare a simple dinner like pasta. The washing machine did take a tiny bit of guesswork to figure out (settings are all in Swedish) but it was a great amenity to have. The bathroom is also quite small (and is a wet bath) but was completely sufficient for our needs. It was quiet at night, but very close to everything Gamla Stan has to offer, including several great restaurants (go have coffee and a cinnamon bun at Skeppsbro Bakery overlooking the water; you won't regret it!), historic sites/museums, and public transit options (ferry, bus, metro).

There were just two small amenities missing that I think would have made this stay perfect - a fan and a drying rack for laundry. It was so great to be able to do some laundry during our stay, however we had to rig up a less-than-optimal clothesline situation using doorknobs and the bit of rope I always carry for emergencies, and that meant an awkward limbo situation when trying to get to and from the bathroom while things were drying. A 99 kr drying rack from Ikea would solve this. It was an exceptionally lovely and warm week during our stay - opening the windows did cool the space down quickly; however, having a fan is nice for both air movement and white noise. On that note - if you are traveling with small children, you may want to note that the windows are relatively low to the ground and open fully with no physical barrier to prevent a child from falling out; they also don't latch open so curious fingers could get pinched.
