Bracken Ground is a Five Star Highly Commended property consisting of a kitchen with electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, Jamie Oliver pizza oven, and dining area, a utility with washer/dryer, and a sitting room with dining area, woodburning stove, Sky HD and Sky Sports, plus a separate sitting/reading room. The bedrooms consist of a master king-size with en-suite shower room, three further king-size rooms (one with en-suite), and a twin with French doors to the garden, along with a bathroom, shower room, and two en-suites. Outside, there is an extensive lawned garden with woodland and pond, a private hot tub, sauna, BBQ, and pizza oven, plus off-road parking for 10 cars. Within 7.5 miles, you will find a shop, and within 1.5 miles, a pub. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, towels, and a starter pack for the woodburning stove are all included in the price. Superb walking, mountain biking and climbing are available locally on Coniston Old Man and Wetherlam, and the lovely woodland trails at Grizedale Forest. For watersports enthusiasts, the quiet lake is ideal for dinghy sailing and canoeing, whilst the less active can enjoy a leisure cruise on the beautiful steam yacht 'Gondola’, or visit Brantwood, the former home of John Ruskin. Nearby attractions include the award-winning village of Hawkshead, home of the Beatrix Potter Gallery, Tarn Hows, one of the most visited beauty spots in the country and Esthwaite Water, famous for its fishing.
