Il Pastore chic

We had the most relaxing wonderful time here. The apartment is big, spacious and spotlessly clean. The outside has a large veranda with chairs and table where you can just sit and relax. It is a working farm with cows and farm dogs. There is barely any noise, just the cows and calf’s and rarely the dogs. We let the dogs on the veranda but there is a gate to close if you don’t want them sat with you. They don’t beg or bark at you, they are so chilled.It is so peaceful. Simone, the host sent us a video to help with getting to the farmhouse with which we had no issues at all. He also sent recommendations for eating out. We went to a recommended beautiful farmhouse for an evening meal which was superb and surprisingly very little money. You do need a car, it is very close 6-7 minutes to all restaurants, bars, the town of Mussomeli and many other places.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and kindness, especially by our host, Simone, who went above and beyond to make us feel at home. They were incredibly gracious and accommodating, including being fully welcoming of our service dog, which made our stay all the more comfortable and stress-free. That level of care and respect truly sets this place apart. Il Pastore Chic is a working farm, and that’s part of its magic. We had the chance to interact daily with the amazing people who live and work there, and those conversations and moments became some of the highlights of our stay. You’re not just visiting a place, you’re being invited into a way of life. The farm produces exceptional olive oil, and knowing it comes directly from the land you’re staying on makes it even more special. Their beef is also locally sourced, available through a butcher in town, which speaks volumes about their commitment to quality and to supporting the local community. If you’re looking for an authentic Sicilian experience rooted in hospitality, tradition, and heart, Il Pastore Chic delivers in every way. We would return without hesitation and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking something truly special.
