    We were very happy with our stay at Ayutthaya Star Hotel. After traveling through China earlier on this trip, it was actually fun to experience that style of Chinese infrastructure and affordable luxury again. The hotel is owned by a Chinese group and seems to cater primarily to Chinese workers from companies in the surrounding area, rather than tourists. Our room was very nice, spacious and comfortable, and the hotel has an excellent pool and a good fitness room. Breakfast is predominantly Chinese-style, which we enjoyed and found quite different from the other hotels we stayed at in Thailand. The main downside is definitely the location. The hotel is essentially in the middle of nowhere, so having your own transportation or using Grab is necessary. As tourists, this wasn’t a major problem for us because we spent most of the day exploring Ayutthaya. The Historical Park and main temples were approximately a 30-minute Grab ride away. The location becomes more inconvenient at night, when there are very few dining options nearby. There are two Chinese restaurants within the same complex, but we found them considerably overpriced, so I would recommend planning dinner or picking up food before returning to the hotel. Overall, we had a very comfortable stay and thought the hotel offered excellent value, particularly considering the quality of the rooms and facilities. Just be aware of the isolated location and plan accordingly.

    The hotel is clean, well-maintained, and offers a pleasant stay overall. The only downside is its location, which is about a 30-minute drive from town. From my experience, this hotel seems to cater primarily to Chinese travelers. Most of the signage is in large Chinese characters with much smaller English text, and there is no Thai language provided. At the breakfast buffet, there are no food labels, making it difficult to identify some of the dishes. Most of the staff are unable to speak Thai. The few staff members who do speak Thai were not particularly friendly and did not demonstrate a strong service mindset during my stay. This affected the overall guest experience. The indoor breakfast area is also quite small, which can feel crowded during busy periods. Overall, the hotel is clean and comfortable, and I had a good stay. I think it is a good choice for Chinese travelers, but it may be less suitable for Thai guests or other international visitors who expect multilingual signage, better communication, and a warmer level of service.
