If I had to choose a place to breathe in the true spirit of Japan, Sione Utahi perfectly embodies it. It is not just a splendid machiya - a rare, pristine gem nestled just steps away from Ginkaku-ji and the Philosopher's Path. It is a place where you can find yourself, meditate, and get as close as possible to their culture. The staff and team are wonderful, speak fluent English, and are always completely at your disposal. I couldn't have asked for more. I warmly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique experience. Thank you.

Todo la calidez de lo tradicional y el diseño una mezcla perfecta Su anfitriona nos trató con mucho amor y nos explicó todo genial tb hicimos nuestra primera meditación que aunque no fuimos los mejores alumnos nos encantó un sitio para visitar si estás en Kioto 100% Fue maravilloso

A charming stay filled with wonderful people, food and surroundings. The pottery in the business is stunningly beautiful.
A little hard to find but that also adds to the charm. Once we got to the property the craziness of Japan disappeared and we were completely at peace.
