About this house rental
"Uan" is a charming cluster of 5 houses surrounding a quiet courtyard. This is one of the newly renovated modern traditional houses, "Uan/Sora". The house was built more than 100 years ago and recently renovated for a vacation home. The house still has an old atmosphere of Kyoto and provides the latest furnishings. It is fully furnished and all necessary appliances will be provided.
The Sora (空) House is a two-story house of 90 m2 and fully renovated in 2018. 3 bedrooms with the total of 9 beds and 3.5 bathrooms, this house is suitable for a large group. In the living room there is a table large enough for 10 people can have seats all together.
There is the full kitchen(cookware, dinnerware, seasonings, a microwave, a toaster oven, a rice cooker, a hot water kettle and more), washing machine/dryer, washing detergent, utilities, and home appliances. Of course, fresh bed/bath linen and toothbrush are provided.
On the first floor, there are two bedrooms. 3 single beds and 1 double bed in Bedroom 1, 2 single beds (can be pushed them together to make a double bed) in Bedroom 2. There is 1 double bed in Bedroom 3 upstairs. Bedroom 2 has an en-suite bathroom and Bedroom 3 has an en-suite shower. There is also another bathroom adjacent to Bedroom 1.
Located in 5 minutes walk from Higashiyama station in the Higashiyama area of Kyoto.
The Higashiyama area is considered the most Kyoto like place in Kyoto. If you are interested in temples, the most prestigious Zen temple in Japan called Nanzen-ji is near the house. Also, Heian shrine, Shoren-in, Chion-in and Yasaka shrine are within a 5-10 minute walk from the houses. You can also walk to Gion area to the downtown in Kyoto.

Came to Kyoto with 3 other friends. The communication with both the owner and manager were excellent. The location, while not centrally located was made up by the fact the property was both modern, clean, spacious and quiet.We also were given some guides by the manager on where we could eat, find entertainment and train lines nearby. Above all, i highly recommend this property

The rooms were perfect layout and the kitchen came in handy. Also great quaint and tucked away location for peaceful night sleep after a day of touring. Still super close to subway trains. I would stay here again. Very friendly host.

Excellent property, comfortable, clean, well managed and very easy to check in and out. Location was a bit far from train stations but worth it for the quality of the property.
