Beijing Xixi Friendship Hotel is located on Xidan Commercial Street and close to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City

We had a great stay at Beijing Xixi Friendship Hotel. The location is excellent, right in the Xidan area with plenty of shops, restaurants and transport nearby, and it is also very convenient for visiting places such as the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. The room was clean and comfortable, but what really made our stay memorable was the staff. Everyone was polite and helpful, and one lady at reception particularly went out of her way to help us on our last day. We were urgently waiting for a parcel that had not arrived and only had a few hours before our flight. She kindly called the courier company for us, spoke to them in Chinese and helped us find out what was happening with the delivery. Without her help, we could easily have left Beijing without receiving the parcel. We really appreciated her taking the time to help us, especially when we were under pressure to get to the airport. This kind of service makes a real difference when travelling in another country. A very positive experience overall. Excellent location, helpful staff and genuinely good service. We would happily stay here again when visiting Beijing. 5 stars from us.

The malls next to it
