The studio is fine, but there seem to be dubious people in ground floor studio. Host doesn’t care

The property is clean and has good facilities. It was difficult to find and I had to ring the owner to get more specific directions. The lockbox is not very evident on the property. You have to go right up to the door but you think you are arriving at someone’s house!

I was woken up several times by the people below shouting and banging on the door and even trying to open my door. It was very unnerving and as I was on my own, I was really scared at one point. I mentioned this to the owner after checking out but received absolutely no comments back about what happened. Why not replying? I sensed that the owner knows there are issues with the people in the ground floor studio!

Make sure you have entry details before you get there. Key under mat is not very secure!

The location was fairly quiet. Room was newly decorated.

We had asked if we could have access at 14h00, and after phone calls, text messages, we eventually got a text message at 17h10 for access details, which was key under mat, despite there being 2 key safes. It appears that access has been a problem for others, too. A message should be sent out a day or two before arrival. The heating did not work, and it was a cold evening. It looks like it was controlled remotely. After we had been out for the evening, the heating came on, and it was toasty Although generally the place looked clean. The bathroom needs proper cleaning, and the bathroom floor needs a wet wipe over. We had the downstairs room, and the view to the garden is a small courtyard There is a light that stays on all the time, as there are a few steps down to the bathroom. A curtain could be installed across so you can sleep better.

Apart from the negative comments everything else was ok and we enjoyed our stay.

Location is excellent. The apartment is very clean and spacious, warm, airy and comfortable.

Could not access most of the TV channels as most required a different code and were not available. Small kitchen facility outside the shower room/toilet door is not located in the best place regarding hygiene conditions. It took several phone calls and the promise of a text to receive the key code to eventually receive the code......28 minutes after the 3pm check in time and only then after the owner phoned after what was presumably her husband/partner had kept promising to send details. Four phone calls between 2.30-3.25pm. The most amazing thing however was included in the welcome pack. Guests are requested to strip the beds before leaving ! Unbelieveable! We have stayed in many top class hotels and self catering establishments over several years and have never came across a request like this before. Surely cleaners/maids etc are employed to do this as part of their job ?

Recommended

Lovely studio. Very clean with a great view over towards the castle and Morecombe Bay. Can't fault it. It's quite close to the centre of town, but be warned, it's quite a steep hike!

Had trouble gaining entry. Had to wait for about 15 minutes for someone to come and sort it out. I recommend you contact them prior to arrival. We were offered a free glass of fizz if we went to their hotel, but unfortunately we didn't have time. Next time maybe!

The accommodation was beautiful, very clean and modern. It had everything we needed. Parking right outside in a quiet area, yet very near the centre, was a great bonus. The private court yard was a beautiful area too. We would definitely return.

Quiet location to visit Lancaster

Comfortable bed

Upstairs couple were really noisy. They sounded like they were walking on a wooden floor and made a lot of noise coming down and going up stairs. The kitchen space and equipment was very limited and cooking would have been very difficult.

Stayed at this place as having surgery early the next day and was near the hospital.

The room above created large amounts of noise when people moved about. Was very loud making it difficult to sleep. I had to contact the owner as the key code was not sent to me. I was half hour early but had travelled by train and was stood outside in the rain.

A lovely stay!

A very comfortable stay at Parker Street, the apartment is lovely and clean, warm and cosy! I was visiting my daughter at Uni which was only a short drive away so I was able to bring her back for tea! The bed is really big and comfy, a good sized bathroom, there is nice lighting and had everything we needed to cook a meal in the kitchen! Would definitely stay again!
