The property is in a great location for the centre but is on a steep hill so if you have mobility issues you’ll prob need a car or a taxi. The apartment was clean. There was free parking outside. Their other business the borough was a nice place to have a drink with a live dj on every other Friday and reasonably priced.
I didn’t like the lack of communication. The owners did say they don’t get messages through booking.com but I sent several messages that weren’t responded to. And had to chase them on WhatsApp. Seeing as that’s their biggest poor review you’d think they’d address it. I’ll admit the lack of communication means i probably wouldn’t stay again seeing as they took the money straight away. But didn’t respond.
I had asked for an earlier check in because of the rugby but this request was ignored. Given the lack of communication I was worried I wouldn’t get a message about check in so didn’t set off until I got the code and subsequently got stuck in traffic and missed the match.
Also noise is a problem you can literally hear everything in the apartment below. I could hear the couple below having sex. Luckily for me it didn’t last long. So be aware of that!

Good size, bit of character to it. Quiet, comfortable.
Just one pan a bit disappointing. Surrounding area a bit hillier than we thought making it a challenge if mobility is an issue.

Location is excellent. The apartment is very clean and spacious, warm, airy and comfortable.
Could not access most of the TV channels as most required a different code and were not available. Small kitchen facility outside the shower room/toilet door is not located in the best place regarding hygiene conditions. It took several phone calls and the promise of a text to receive the key code to eventually receive the code......28 minutes after the 3pm check in time and only then after the owner phoned after what was presumably her husband/partner had kept promising to send details. Four phone calls between 2.30-3.25pm. The most amazing thing however was included in the welcome pack. Guests are requested to strip the beds before leaving ! Unbelieveable! We have stayed in many top class hotels and self catering establishments over several years and have never came across a request like this before. Surely cleaners/maids etc are employed to do this as part of their job ?
