Lakeview Suite by Trout Lake

The instructions given by Kat and Nathan was super clear. Though we landed late in YVR, we didn't have to worry about the late check-in. The kitchen has more appliances than you can imagine - best one was the air fryer! The bed was very comfortable with lots of pillows. Both the main room and bedroom have air conditioning - great for the summer. Yes, the sharing of bathroom can be a little inconvenient but nothing to penalize the lovely apartment on - they have written it very clearly in their post so not sure what some travellers are complaining about. The instructions for co-sharing was written very clearly in the bathroom itself. A hot shower is always available and honestly I applaud Kat and Nathan for their creativity in fixing the shower head to the ceiling for the guests' convenience. Bathroom was very clean. Noise-wise, yes I do agree with some of the reviews there is quite a bit of noise in the day from upstairs but it's completely understandable since Kat and Nathan have kids and they live upstairs. We were having jetlag but the noise didn't impede us too much from having rest. Location wise, I love the fact that it's next to trout lake - beautiful place to sit with a takeaway breakfast and coffee while bird watching. We went on a Saturday and there was a farmer's market. Food, groceries and the Commercial-Broadway metro station are about 7 to 9 mins walk away. Kat and Nathan also allowed us to put our luggage there after check-out for a few hours more - we usually don't experience such generosity from homeowners 80% of the time when we stay in homes, so definitely appreciate their kindness. All in all, it's a great accommodation with great homeowners as icing on the cake. Will definitely consider this place again the next time we are back.

Not so much of a dislike but more of a suggestion - some coffee for the machine would be great. My partner suggested putting in a kitty box where people can just drop in monetary thanks for the coffee as per their hearts' desire.

La casa tiene muy buena ubicación, esta en una zona muy tranquila y con buen ambiente. Tiene muchas facilidades y una decoración bonita. Tuvimos un pequeño problema con la ducha y el propietario se preocupó muy rápido y ese mismo dia se solucionó, además la comunicación con el fue muy buena. Muy recomendable alojarse aqui.

Estaba un poco sucio el baño ya que solo hay uno que se comparte con la otra vivienda.

Die Bilder entsprachen der Wirklichkeit.Die Küche war topp ausgestattet. Die Nutzung des geteilten Bades war problemlos. Die Unterkunft liegt in einem ruhigen Wohnbezirk. Die nächste Bushaltestelle war sechs Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. Uns hat das Fehlen eines TV nicht gestört; das Wifi ist für Nachrichten-Streaming ausreichend.

Das Bad wurde von einer weiteren Mietpartei benutzt. Das sollte in der Beschreibung deutlich angesprochen werden. Parken ist nicht trivial. Vor der Unterkunft und allen Nebenstraßen ist tagsüber Parken nur für zwei Stunden erlaubt. Auf dem Victoria Drive gibt es einige Stellen, an denen Parken ganztägig erlaubt ist.

Location next to park and price were good.

No basics supplied such as washing up liquid. Cooking oil. No tv, not we wanted one but the option would have been nice. Pillows were absolutely terrible. Community bathroom. People showering at 1am. Upstairs vacuuming at 1am. Both nights owner walked around until 2am in morning.
