Amazing budget friendly place in the center of Kavala

Overall a great place with everything needed for a comfortable holiday: - The host was very welcoming and responsive, they helped us with all inquiries and requets. - Located in the small streets of the old town, 5 minutes walk from good tavernas, the central parking, shops and Kavala Fortress - Very spacious, 2 bedrooms - 1 single and 1 double bed, and retractable couch in the livingroom, in theory you can house up to 5 people - Very clean and organized, they had left us slippers, small soaps and and shower-gels - Office desk with an office chair and good WiFi, it's possible to work comfortably - Mosquito nets on the windows of the big bedroom and livingroom - Roller blinds on all windows, so the sun doesn't bother you in the morning - The kitchen is equipped with basic stuff, so you can try cooking (we haven't tried) - Fairly quiet, there's no annoying neighbors or loud places around. Only passing-by motorbikes can be hear but they are rare, 2-3 a night.

Minor things which might not be an issue for everyone: - Parking in the small streets is almost impossible. Even if you find a spot, the locals will tell you to go elsewhere. The main parking zone at Kavala Port is 5-10 minutes walk and is ~8 EUR per night. - No AC, only fans. Although the apartment was cool at the start of September, hotter summer months could a problem for some people. - Small bedroom does not have a mosquito net on the balcony door. It also doesn't have a nigh lamp. - Bed mattresses are so-so, they are the old spring style creaky ones. More sensitive people won't like them.
