Getting into the apartment was quite easy. It looked very much like the photos, although it felt slightly smaller than expected. We appreciated the extra tap in the kitchen that provided drinking water, as well as the air conditioning units in both the bedroom and the living room. There was also a TV and access to the terrace from the living area. Another great advantage was the location - the apartment was close to the beach and several grocery stores.

At first, we were a bit naïve and thought the large number of cats around the apartment was charming. However, they often crossed personal boundaries by trying to get inside the apartment or jumping onto our laundry, leaving it dirty. When we arrived, the apartment also did not seem to have been cleaned thoroughly. The floor felt dirty, and there was no toilet paper in the bathroom. The shower rarely had properly hot water, even though the kitchen tap consistently did. Around the third night, we noticed cockroaches in the bathroom, which seemed to be coming through the ventilation or other openings. After we informed the host, pest control came and sprayed the apartment.
