We LOVED stay at Mauro’s place. This little bungalow was so cute and cozy for our weekend in Pitigliano. Mauro met us at the home after our 6 hour drive down from northern Italy. He was kind and helped us park our large van before showing us around the home. We only speak English but he was patient and made sure we understood where the spare keys, WiFi password and all of his contact info was located. The whole place looks brand new. There are televisions in each room, places to plug in your phone right next to the bed, plus extra pillows and blankets in the large wardrobes. The whole home was spotlessly clean! We have stayed in at least 20 homes all over Europe and the U.S. in the past and this was the cleanest place we have ever stayed. Thank you so much!
As a family of 4 we enjoyed having two bedrooms. We appreciated the comfy beds, plenty of towels and toilet paper and all the cleaning supplies under the sink. There were water bottles, toast, jam and coffee pods waiting for us. The shower water was hot and the beautiful bathroom was much appreciated after our day trip to Saturnia.
The home is in a quiet, private little section just around the corner from Pitigliano. We made the short walk both days into the beautiful old town and had a magical time there wandering the old streets, trying the food and exploring the Etruscan trails. Mauro was the perfect host who was always available to answer our questions. We would definitely stay here again if given the opportunity.
As Americans traveling through Europe during these political times we are, perhaps understandably, not always shown this level of kindness and hospitality. Thank you Mauro for a wonderful stay in your beautiful home and for a memorable trip for us and our children.
