Fantastically beautiful old building apartment with lake view

This property is very close to the Mannedorf bahnhof and It has two spacious bedrooms, a good size bathroom with shower, a kitchen and a lovely view of the lake from a small window. In addition it is just across the street from a small store with fresh vegetables and necessities. it is an older property, but it is well kept, and we felt welcome. For our needs, it was a tremendous value.

During the time we were there, it was very warm – over 90°F. Very few older properties in Switzerland have air-conditioning. The owner provided a large circulating fan which helped a great deal. There are stairs to the unit so that was a bit tricky because we are older and we had luggage with us. It also would be a good idea to have a shower mat in the large tub to prevent slipping.

The location was excellent right next to the train station.

Die Unterkunft ist sowohl mit dem Auto als auch mit dem Zug perfekt erreichbar. Neben dem Parkplatz direkt vor dem Haus gibt es in 1–2 Gehminuten Entfernung weitere Parkmöglichkeiten. Das Haus ist älter, hat aber einen schönen Altbau-Charme und eine sehr warme Atmosphäre. Es ist liebevoll und mit vielen Details eingerichtet – es ist wirklich alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Besonders schön ist die Aussicht auf den See vom Schlafzimmerfenster aus, und aus der Küche hat man einen spannenden direkten Blick auf den Bahnhof. Die Lage ist ideal: Einkaufsmöglichkeiten wie Coop und Avec sowie Restaurants und Cafés sind gleich nebenan. Der See ist in etwa 3–5 Minuten zu Fuss erreichbar, dort gibt es auch eine Apotheke. In der Nacht ist es angenehm ruhig. Wir haben uns während unseres Aufenthalts sehr wohlgefühlt und fast wie zu Hause.

Das Bett war anfangs etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, da es eher hart und für zwei Erwachsene etwas klein ist. Nach kurzer Zeit haben wir uns aber daran gewöhnt.

Charmant im vintage Stil eingerichtet.

Modriger Geruch. Betten in einem Zimmer auf Bodentiefe. Couch sehr durchgesessen. Kein Schrank für hängende Klamotten.
