Lux rainforest lodge - 2 King bedrooms

We stayed here for 3 nights from the 7th December 2025 (wished it could have been longer). A beautiful, enchanting location, with excellent accommodation providing everything/facilities required for a great stay. The attention to detail in design and facilities provided is incredible. The accommodation comprises of 1 x living/kitchen lodge and 3 x bedroom lodges (2 king + 1 twin), they are all detached, as is the well equipped laundry room. The gardens blended seamlessly into the natural environment and were well maintained. If you're not used to it, the nocturnal sounds of nature from the adjoining natural environment can be alarming but it's a truly wonderful experience. A walk along the creek was very much enjoyed. The almost daily (sometimes 3 times a day) from the cassowaries were a sight to behold - amazing! (More on this to follow) Lots to discover and do within an easy drive. Large supermarket, shopping and services available in Innisfail approx 15 minutes away. The experience here, will remain in our hearts for a long time. ...The cassowaries have obviously relied on people feeding them, as they come right up to the accommodations in order to find food but seem to get agitated (almost trying to jump up on the lounge terraces) when there is nothing available. The owners request clearly for visitors not to feed them, it's a fine line between allowing these beautiful animals to be seen up close (behind closed windows!) and allowing them to live/survive, as they should, naturally. Also it would be helpful in the living area lodge to make it clear which switch is for which light or ceiling fan, we found this very confusing.
