Lakes Edge Retreat

Very stylish, quiet and perfect for romantic getaways. Lots to see and do nearby. Nice gardens and seating area to have your morning coffee with the complementary nespresso pods. The night sky is beautiful when it's not cloudy.

Bin in kitchen could be larger especially since it has a full kitchen. Shower is open style(no door) and can make a bit of mess with water splashing.

This is a brand new property and we were the first paying guests to stay in it. It was a simple process to collect keys and the staff and signage directed us 2 km to the retreat. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the photos of the building we saw when we booked were very different to the place we were now occupying. This newly completedretreat was much better than we expected! The staff contacted us on more than one occasion to check all was ok and were quick to help when we needed something. the location is excellent: very quiet, right on the lake, bird-life abounds, in the trees and on the lake and although we did not see one i'm told a lucky visitor might spy a platypus here. We would highly recommend this retreat to anyone exploring the Atherton Tablelands.

The only criticism was that because everything was new we had to work out how everything operated and these are all modern appliances, like induction stoves and washer dryer combinations. Instruction manuals were available but the usual booklet explaining simply how to use things would have been more helpful. We were advised that the staff were in the process of producing such a booklet for the retreat and im sure future visitors will have access to this information.
