The highlight of this top-floor property is the expansive private penthouse patio, offering the perfect setting for morning coffee, sunset cocktails, alfresco dining, or simply relaxing while taking in the island views, ocean breeze or gazing at the stars.
Comfortably accommodating up to 10 guests, the condo features king and queen beds throughout, ensuring everyone enjoys a restful night's sleep in a real bed. No sleeper sofas, no compromises. With generous gathering spaces, beautifully appointed interiors, and four full bathrooms, this exceptional penthouse provides the perfect balance of comfort, privacy, and convenience for families, multiple couples, and group getaways. Whether you're enjoying the pool or beach just steps away or unwinding on the private patio directly above it all, this one-of-a-kind beachfront retreat offers an unforgettable vacation experience.
As a guest at Idle Awhile, you have access to the entire 2500+ square foot condo for yourselves. Each room has its own private patio with an exquisite view of Cowpet Bay and its surroundings. Our very spacious Penthouse patio allows for you to sunbath in private during the day and stargaze at the endless sky at night. The kitchen is also fully equipped for you to prepare your own meals if you decide to stay in.
If you do not feel like cooking, the Elysian Beach Resort offers several convenient restaurants on property just a few short steps away. Sangria’s Beachside Bistro is a casual spot that serves food and drinks that you can walk up to directly from the beach. It is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily (except Sundays) from 7:30 AM – 8 PM (hours and menu can change so please confirm during your stay). Also on property is the Caribbean Fish Market as a finer dining restaurant known for its seafood dishes. It is open nightly for dinner, as well as for Sunday brunch with bottomless Mimosas or Bloody Mary’s. Directly next to the pool is the pool / beach bar that is open most days to satisfy your thirst while out at the pool or beach.
Our unit is set up to accommodate your travel party whether it be with just family, couples, or friends. Sleeping accommodation are: Primary Bedroom: King Bed | Guest Bedroom: 2 Queen Beds | Upstairs Guest Bedroom: 2 Queen Beds

You are just minutes away from grocery, bars, restaurants, shopping, St. John ferry, postal service and medical center.
Enjoy your stay further as our Property Manager can assist in certain aspects of planning your vacation, including recommendations on rental vehicles, coordinating your initial grocery delivery to stock your provisions prior to your arrival, as well as recommend excursions, and dinner locations.

Condo was beautiful and clean. Host was a great communicator. I’d recommend renting a car or negotiating a taxi for the week. It’s very expensive to get a taxi for each ride. Electric was on/off for 2 hr scheduled outages. Generator worked most of the time.

My family of six really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful condo. The beach outside was absolutely stunning. Had convenient casual dining right next to the facility. The pool was also very nice. Communication with a host was also very good with quick responses. The extras that they provided at the condo were very much appreciated such as coffee and lots of baking spices. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we could need as far as dishes and utensils go. Checkout process was also very easy. Would stay here again!
