The Prince of Stifone Lodge at the Gole del Nera in Narni allows you to relive the essence of what was an important river port to reach Rome in ancient times.

The accommodation is located right in the center of the ancient village of Stifone, along the Nera River, whose beautiful emerald color can be admired. From the village it is possible to start along the Gole del Nera cycle-pedestrian path and you can climb until you reach the remains of the Monastery of San Giovanni. In the vicinity of the village you can admire the ancient river port of Narni, which Tacito also talks about when narrating the consuls' trips to Rome, and the ancient shipyard discovered only in 1969, at loc.
