Keys of Italy - Rustici 3 - Charming 1BR Loft

The location was fantastic - a couple of minutes' walk from the Uffizi and Piazza della Signoria, and the church of Santa Croce, yet in a very quiet street with not much traffic. Loads of restaurants and attractions within easy reach, and it felt quite safe walking home at night. The tiny apartment had been carefully decorated and the kitchen/bathroom had everything we needed, and when the air conditioning didn't work at the start, the host had it fixed the same day, which was much appreciated. In any case, the rooms were actually quite cool, which was lucky.

My teenage daughter and I found the the mattresses quite solid/hard so didn't sleep particularly well. One thing I'd mention is that the apartment is dark during the day - the beautiful wooden beams and low ceilings, along with a narrow street with tall buildings on either side, mean that not much daylight penetrates beyond the window area. This is good in that the rooms are therefore quite cool, but if you're wanting a light, airy apartment where you can sit by the window in the morning/evening sun, you should bear that in mind.
