Prestigious 2 Bedrooms 2 Baths in West Point Grey

The property is very clean, nicely decorated and well located

The listing of the property should mention it is a basement of a house somewhere. It has low ceiling and hence would not be ideal for tall people. My son is 6 ft 2 in. He bumped his head a couple of times..

It was spacious and homey. It was bright even though it's partially underground with several windows to let in light. Very comfortable. Also just a few meters away from the bus stop where the 14 will take you downtown.

The location being close to UBC, as well as Spanish Banks and Jericho Beaches was fantastic. Parking was free and easy on the street. Very convenient having two bathrooms in the unit (particularly when travelling with teenagers). Also great to have living space - comfy, spacious lounge area as well as dining area. Beds were very comfy and handy to have desks and closets in both bedrooms. Unit was well stocked with toiletries, coffee and tea. Keyless entry was convenient as was having access to a washer and dryer in the unit.

These are a few minor points as overall the stay was wonderful. The Wifi was not the greatest (would drop and was slow at times), however the host quickly provided an alternative Wifi that worked ok. Would be great to have a few extra things in the kitchen like a measuring jug, a medium sized fry pan (has one very small and one very large), and a mixing bowl. Upon arrival was not clear where to find the door to the unit and the pathway to the doorway was not lit at night (would be great to have an automatic light that turned on when there's movement).

Communication from the host was excellent. Easy to access the property, instructions were excellent and host was very proactive in communication. We really appreciated that the host provided a fan when requested due to the hot weather. We also appreciated the coffee pods, teabags and toiletries provided in the bathroom. Rooms and bathrooms were very clean.

Overall not sure the property lived up to the premium price and positioning as a prestigious unit. This is a converted basement so was quite dark and stuffy and there was considerable foot noise from the house upstairs (including through the night). There are very low beams in parts of the house so this place is problematic for anyone taller than 5'6. One of the beds had missing slats for the bottom portion of bed and kept caving in. Furnishings are satisfactory but not exceptional.
