Charming 1 Bedroom Apartment in Mouraria Heart of Historic Lisbon

Très bien situé. On peut tout faire à pied. Quartier calme la nuit. Très propre et le propriétaire est aimable.

Pour descendre au centre il faut passer par des rues où nous n'avons pas le sentiment d'être super safe, bien que le quartier soit calme, et l'appartement bien situé. Je recommande cet appartement.

The apartment itself was spacious, comfortable, and overall very nice to stay in. The location was excellent and made it very easy to get around Lisbon, with plenty of cafés, restaurants, and attractions nearby. Having a bakery directly below the apartment was also a great bonus and very convenient during our stay. Once we were settled in, the apartment had everything we needed and worked well as a base for exploring the city. The smell from the works also improved significantly after the first day.

Communication around check-in could have been much better. We had agreed on a 3pm check-in and were told it may even be possible earlier, but due to works being carried out (which we weren't aware of) we ultimately couldn’t access the apartment until around 5:30pm. The delay itself wasn’t necessarily the issue, but rather the lack of updates and transparency while we were left waiting around. These works really should have been completed either before our arrival or afterwards, as we had paid to stay in the apartment from 3pm that day but were not given access until closer to 6pm. We had also explained that our phones were close to dying because we had planned around the original check-in time and hadn’t expected to be outside the apartment for several extra hours. Had we known in advance, we could have prepared accordingly. Instead, we spent the afternoon sitting out on the street hoping for a response while worrying both our phones would die and we would have no way of making contact. In the end, I had to send my partner’s number over because my phone did eventually die before we were able to access the apartment. There was also a very strong smell of wood/glue/mastic in the apartment during the first day, presumably due to the works being carried out. Thankfully this improved afterwards, but it was quite overpowering initially. Luckily it wasn’t a major issue for us as we had brought plenty of clothes, but we also noticed that the washing machine didn’t appear to be working properly as it repeatedly displayed an error code when we tried to use it.

Buena ubicación detrás del castillo. Estaba limpio y era muy cómoda tanto la cama como el sofá.

El estractor del baño no funcionaba y olía mucho a humedad.

the location was great

the bathroom was smelly, it wasn’t well cleaned and the fan wasn’t working. additionally there are no windows in the majority of the rooms.
