Orinoco Sunset House I - Private Jacuzzi

The apartment is very well situated, with beautiful views on the bay. We took advantage a lot of the terrace, sitting outside to have our coffee while admiring the view. The beach in Calheta is close (a few minutes by car) and is one of the best on the island. We were also able to have walks in the neighbourhood and found a levada trail. Our host was very responsive. We also liked that on arrival the table was set and there were biscuits and a bottle, This made us feel welcome.

It was a perfect stay.

Very good facilities. Clean, comfortable and well equipped. A very nice view and terrace area with decent outdoor furniture to use. Nice and peaceful area. Lovely responsive owner who was readily available. Overall the perfect stay.

Only downsides were minor issues with the hot tub which the owner corrected quickly. Also the terrace area doesn’t drain when raining so the floor can be very slippery. The same issue occurs with the bathroom too, the floor can get very wet. But these are very minor issues which did not affect the overall stay.

Im März hatten wir bis ca. 18 Uhr abends sogar Sonne im Whirlpool. Handtücher, Bademäntel, Slippers sind vorhanden. Der Ausblick auf's Meer und die Hügel ist toll, sieht man sogar vom Bett aus. Von den Mietern unten drunter hat man nichts mitbekommen (Reisezeit war März, Pool der Wohnung unten wurde aber auch nicht genutzt).

Das Bad ist etwas klein. Klimaanlage/Heizung ist nur in den Schlafzimmern, was im März etwas frisch war. Mit offenstehenden Türen zur Wärmeverteilung ging es aber.

We stayed in September, Amazing views, very clean, attention to detail, provided kitchen utensils like salt/pepper/oil/paper/wrapping paper which many properties don’t provide but is great so you don’t have to buy all this. Quick responses when dealing with the agency and had a lovely chat with the owner on our last day. Overall 10/10.
