tolles Haus und beheizter Pool, komplette Ausstattung. Tolle Terrasse mit Blick aufs Meer und den abendlichen Himmel. Sehr gute Betten. Parkplatz vor dem Haus 😊

Ausfall der Wasserpumpe, wurde aber schnell repariert. Schränke hätten gelüftet werden müssen. Straße ist teilweise sehr laut.

Lovely house, well renovated and well equipped. Great outdoor area with swimming pool and shaded breakfast area and lounge area, sunny all day, sunset view and view of the ocean. Great location for hikes and trips all over the island (max 1.5hr drive, several 30-60min). Small supermarket 200m uphill, bigger @ 10min drive. While many areas had clouds on several days during our stay Arco de Calheta was always sunny. We rented for 2 weeks, and saw all the sites and did all the hikes on our list. Towels and bed sheets changed and complete cleaning after 1st week. Madeira is beautiful. Rent a not-too-big automatic transmission car with some ground clearance for easier parking at the hiking locations; and bring shoes with decent profile, and raincoat or water-resistant jacket for foggy laurel-forest hikes.
