Aristoteluos By the Sea

The location is great. It’s in the Aristotelous Square and with a Seaview. Restaurants and mall nearby and KFC across from the apartment. 40mins bus ride from the airport (25mins by Taxi/uber). Used Google maps from bus stop to navigate direct to the apartment. Very peaceful and quiet apartment up some stairs (not much). Went as a family with 3 young children. Very clean and modern inside. All rooms air-conditioned which was great as it was 36 degrees. Sofa bed also big and comfortable. Spacious apartment. There’s a Masoutis supermarket 5 mins away which is vital for food shopping (Google maps will direct you). 10 mins from the Port (Karavakia water bus) that takes you to Perea and Nei Epivates beaches. As a family we can’t fault the apartment and will definitely recommend to anyone. Communication with the host was timely, best to use Whatsapp as we did rather than emails.

We really liked the location and the apartment, however we didn't find the host very hospitable. Access details were not sent in advance. Had to send multiple emails to the host, standing outside the apartment, to finally receive the code and the entry instructions. On the first night we had a cold shower, only after reporting it, the host sent us the instructions about the hot water settings. The toilet push button got stuck so it was permanently flushing, wasting water and making it the toilet very noisy and difficult to use. We reported the issue to the host and were asked whether there was a faucet to stop the water. The apartment was overall very clean, however the fan in the bathroom was totally clogged with dirt which was a real issue for asthma and hay fever. On the second day, the host sent a message demanding a 5 star review and in capital letters asking us to leave the keys in the locker. We didn't feel welcome, so we would rather give it a miss next time.
