About this apartment rental
The family-friendly 60 m² vacation apartment “PIRATENNEST,” in a prime location, is situated on the 1st floor of Villa Störtebeker in the beautiful Baltic Sea resort of Baabe on the island of Rügen. It can accommodate up to 4 pirates and one little “stowaway” and is just 350 meters from one of Rügen’s most beautiful beaches. From here, you can't only enjoy the Baltic Sea but also the kilometer-long sandy beach stretching toward Sellin and Göhren.
In the large, cozy living/dining room, you’ll find, among other things, a 55-inch smart TV and a radio with Bluetooth. Free Wi-Fi access is, of course, included.
The 10 m² south/west-facing balcony is the perfect spot for breakfast in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening sun.
In the fully equipped galley area, you’ll find everything you need to prepare a real pirate’s feast, including an oven, a self-contained ceramic cooktop, a dishwasher, a refrigerator with a ****freezer compartment, a microwave, a drip coffee maker, a toaster, a kettle, and a Nespresso capsule machine.
From here, the layout continues to the two berths in both the master bedroom and the children’s room.
The master bedroom is equipped with a 180 x 200 double bed, a closet, a 40" TV, blackout blinds, and a window with an insect screen.
The children’s room features a bunk bed, a desk, and a dresser. Of course, this room also has a window screen installed. For the “young pirates,” there is a small selection of toys and children’s books available. A travel crib and a high chair are also provided.
For families or couples, an additional bedroom (children’s room) is essential for a relaxing vacation. We’re pleased to be able to offer this to our guests compared to similarly sized vacation rentals.
You can park your car for free in your own parking space right in front of the house/balcony.
Pirates and landlubbers alike can park and lock their bicycles in the large, covered, and lockable bike shed.
There’s also a coin-operated washing machine and dryer in the basement.
Just a stone’s throw (approx. 200 m) from the apartment is Baabe’s main shopping street… the “Strandstraße.” Here you’ll find various shops, cafés, bakeries, restaurants serving German and international cuisine, bike rentals, and even a hair salon. Also right nearby… a doctor and a dentist. Three large discount stores are also just a few minutes’ walk away.
From Baabe, you can plan beautiful bike tours along the well-maintained bike paths toward Mönchgut, Thiessow, all the way to the Zickerschen Mountains, or into the Granitz (toward Binz) to the historic Granitz Hunting Lodge.
We also highly recommend taking a ride on Germany’s oldest historic narrow-gauge railway, the “Rasender Roland.”
Its route from Lauterbach Mole to Putbus, Binz, Sellin, Baabe, Göhren, and back runs just 500 meters from the vacation rental.
