About this house rental
Guests can enjoy rural experiences such as splitting firewood, cooking rice in a traditional kamado stove, heating the bath with firewood, harvesting vegetables, and having a BBQ around the irori hearth, making it a popular choice for groups and families with children.
In spring, you can enjoy the nearby Kawazu cherry blossoms and bamboo shoot digging; in summer, summer festivals; in fall, chestnut picking and sweet potato digging; and in winter, hot springs. You can also enjoy a great view of Mount Fuji from the rice fields. Suruga Bay and Sagami Bay are also about a 30-minute drive away, making this a convenient base for fishing trips. All rooms have tatami mats, so you’ll sleep on futons. Since we’re near the mountains, there are plenty of insects. Don’t worry—during the summer, we always sleep under mosquito nets. As this is a traditional Japanese house, it can get hot or cold, but we hope you’ll come and experience it for yourself.
Amenities at Guesthouse in a 100-year-old farmhouse—experience Satoyama by cooking rice in a kamado (wood-fired stove), harvesting rice, and more. Pets allowed
