Getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city at our modern farmhouse cottage situated on enchanting Bentley Lake in Bancroft. This spacious waterfront and newly renovated cottage features a private sandy beach and is the perfect place to enjoy summer with family and friends. Less than a 2 1/2 hour drive from Toronto, this property is a vacationer's paradise. Immerse yourself in fishing, paddle boarding and swimming during the summer and snowshoeing, snowmobiling and tranquility during winter.

I was looking for a dog friendly winter vacation spot to hang out in the snow with my 1.5 year old lab/husky. He was too little last year to really enjoy the winter so this year I decided to spoil him for all his hard working in the last year training. It was daily zoomies for him and tons of fresh air and good old nature. The property was clean and user friendly. I was t able to use the hot tub, but that’s because my dog thinks I’m drowning when I go into a pool or tub so without causing him any stress I decided to forgo that part. I did enjoy the vast property and nearby trails. Absolutely stunning view from the cottage. I love the fact there was a dog run with a dog door so I didn’t have to walk him just to use the bathroom. If you are looking for a nice quiet winter getaway (and have dogs you want to travel with) to go snowshoeing, nature walking, snowmobiling, or skijoring I would 100% recommend this place.

I had a wonderful fall getaway at this cottage with my dog. It was really nice to be at a place that did not just tolerate dogs, but was set up with dogs in mind. The dog run was an absolute selling feature as well as the dog zipline. Also every section of the house can be gated of you need to create a barrier. The cottage was neat, clean and had all amenities I could expect. The lake was beautiful and at the time I traveled (early fall, midweek) very quiet. I will 100% be planning a return trip.
