This beautiful traditional Brittany cottage in a France declared area of natural beauty, has been extensively and sensitively re-furbished. Although the property looks as if it is two cottages side by side, this is one property, it is a single detached, self contained and very private cottage. It has a very large front garden, (which although directly on the bank of the river is enclosed and gated, so that animals and toddlers are contained!). Without exception visitors have commented on the beauty and tranquillity of the cottage and the setting. The cottage is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, directly on the river bank of the Vilaine, next to the lock at Malon, and near the Corbiniere woods. European Waterway describe the Vilaine as 'one of the most beautiful rivers in France'.
The location of the cottage is ideal for bird watching; fishing; walking; canoeing; cycling or just watching the boats go by! If you want to venture out, the surrounding villages are medieval and peppered with artisan artists, the coast is around 45 minutes drive away.
