INDOOR LIVING SPACES
This unique property is centered around a great room with soaring trapezoidal vaulted wood ceiling and walls of glass opening to a resort pool area with panoramic views of Mt. San Jacinto. The MCM iconic features abound with rock walls, four natural stone fireplaces, plentiful custom wood built-ins and an abundance of clerestory windows flooding the space with generous PS sunshine. The expansive open concept living space offers several lounging areas with comfortable seating for family and friends to gather, double-sided gas fireplace, 60” ROKU TV and a hip bar for mixing delicious craft cocktails. The swanky dining area is an entertainer’s delight featuring a circular dining table, tangerine chairs, elegant pendant light and seats eight guests.
The chef’s kitchen with island breakfast bar is conveniently located with a fantastic view of the outdoor patio and pool. The contemporary cabinets, granite countertops, ample pantry storage and large prep island provide abundant space for culinary creativity of any scale, whether preparing dinner for 2 or 8. Plus, the kitchen is stocked with all the necessary accouterments sure to delight any cook.
BEDROOMS
Pamper yourself in one of the 4 luxurious bedrooms furnished with comfort and tranquility in mind. All bedroom sanctuaries offer hotel-quality mattresses, fine linens, smart TVs, remote controlled mini-splits and large closets with loads of storage.
GRAND PRIMARY RETREAT – The spacious primary suite is well appointed with a King bed, sitting area, 55” smart TV, spacious walk-in closets and access to the pool and spa through glass sliding doors. The ensuite spa bath offers a sensuous walk-in shower, stylish double vanity sinks with natural stone counters, modern fixtures and plenty of storage.
QUEEN RETREAT – The standalone bedroom located in the center of the house has a Queen bed, 50” smart TV w/ Roku and spacious dresser/closet space. The en suite bath offers a shower/tub combo with retro tile and updated vanity with natural stone counters and modern fixtures. This bathroom can also be accessed from the main hallway.
KING GUEST ROOM – The southeast wing houses another bedroom with a King bed, 44” smart TV w/ROKU, spacious walk-in closet and access to the outdoor courtyard. An ensuite bathroom with shower/tub combo and single vanity is shared with an adjoining queen bedroom. This layout is ideal for families traveling with small children.
QUEEN GUEST ROOM – The fourth bedroom features a Queen bed with an adjoining sitting room, 55” smart TV and access to the outdoor courtyard. This bedroom must be accessed by going through the King bedroom and shared bath. There is no hallway access.
OUTDOORS LIVING SPACES
Bathed in year-round sunshine, this resort-style property allows you to truly experience the magnificent desert climate with multiple outdoor living areas and sweeping mountain views. The meticulously maintained grounds are landscaped with a variety of towering palm trees, Ficus hedges, rock gardens, cacti, desert ornamentals and lush green lawn.
The centerpiece of the entertainment backyard is the sensational kidney-shaped saltwater pool (heating optional). For soaking in the PS sunshine, there are plenty of chaise lounges to enjoy a full day of sun from the west-facing patio. If shade is what you crave, hang out in the covered courtyard sipping a cool drink. Or take a nap under the cool shade of the umbrellas or one of many seating areas. Enjoy evening cocktails and conversation around the outdoor gas fire pit under a canopy of twinkling desert stars. There’s also a gas Weber BBQ, bistro dining table and pool floats to complete the perfect outdoor experience.
AMENITIES
For our guests added convenience we offer a 2-car garage, Maytag washer and dryer in a dedicated indoor laundry closet, Wi-Fi, five smart TVs and estate disposal service. All high quality linens, towels & pool floats provided too.
The Colony Retreat is the ultimate Palm Springs getaway for modernism enthusiasts, a romantic couples weekend, family holidays or snowbirds looking for a private, relaxing, warm retreat. We strive to provide you all the comforts of home without the work. That is why we offer all our guests access to a local property manager on call to attend to your needs. Weekly gardening service and pool service twice per week are also provided. Just relax and enjoy your stay!
OPTIONAL FEES
For stays of less than 28 nights, the optional pool heat fee is $100/day or $650/week. Pool heat is not needed between June and September. A utility deposit is collected for stays of 28 nights or more and the amount is based on the length of stay. The cost of an Early Arrival or Late Departure is $200 each plus tax.
