It’s between 20 and 50 minutes from Sardinia’s most beautiful beaches, such as Poetto in the heart of Cagliari, Mari Pintau, Solanas, Villasimius, Costa Rei, Porto Paglia, Pan di Zucchero, and more. Dolianova, renowned for its olive oil production, is home to the olive oil museum called “Sa Mola Sarda.” It’s also known for the wine produced by the Dolianova wineries and Cantine Argiolas, (which are also open to visitors), and finally for the production of cheeses made by the Argiolas dairy, which organizes guided tours. The town’s architecture is characterized by the 12th–13th-century Cathedral of San Pantaleo, dating back to the Byzantine era and featuring Romanesque and Gothic styles. Dolianova is also home to several nuraghi, including the “Nuraghe Sant’Uanni” from the Nuragic era, from which visitors can admire breathtaking sunsets.
