A beautiful setting with warm hospitality, but an overpriced and underwhelming dining experience that left us disappoint

The room was truly beautiful, spacious, and tastefully furnished, with a lovely view of the fountain. The atmosphere of the entire property is peaceful and charming, ideal for a relaxing getaway. The staff were kind and welcoming, and the overall level of service and hospitality was excellent. Breakfast was enjoyable and the setting is undeniably picturesque.

Unfortunately, the culinary experience was underwhelming, especially given the price point. The so-called “aperitivo” included a few olives, four slices of bread with olive oil, and a small salami — very minimal, and not a single glass of wine included (we paid 15 cause we did the full experience 80€ including dinner, cost per person, otherwise would’ve been 40€ without beverage) Dinner, priced at €65 (if you do the all included experience, otherwise 80€) per person (wine not included), consisted of bruschetta, the ones never served for the aperitivo, a rustic tart, fried zucchini flowers, pasta with zucchini, a breaded pork steak, and apple strudel. While the dishes were edible, they lacked creativity, depth, and refinement. For the cost, we expected something far more curated and memorable, for sure not the broken set of dishes where the food was served on. With two bottles of wine added (€65 total), we paid 223€ in 2, I would say the overall value for money simply wasn’t there, and we left feeling slightly disappointed despite the beauty of the place.

Beautiful, peaceful, and well layed out. The villa was spacious and felt private. Super comfortable with loads of places to relax. We enjoyed a couple of dinners cooked by the chef that were delicious and made with ingredients from the garden! Top notch service and warm hospitality from Olivia throughout!

A magical stay in the countryside

The house is beautiful. Everything is beautiful. So much thought and generosity has been put into every detail. The breakfast was superb. Olivia is a force of nature. Hostess with style & grace. I truly feel I gained a friend. And Romi goes the extra mile to make you feel anything is possible. Beyond a hotel - this is an experience that is unique. We loved it

Gorgeous design and peace in Tuscia

This is a really special place. The setting is gorgeous, the house itself is beautifully designed with a story behind every object, and countryside views on all sides. The host, Olivia, has to be one of the most hospitable people I've met, she treated us like family and helped us with insider knowledge of what to explore in the Tuscia area, like wine tasting and the Renaissance palazzo Villa Farnese. At dinnertime, you can join other guests for a sunset aperitivo and then split off to your chosen spot (ours was the barn!) for a candlelit dinner under the stars. Rooms are really spacious and overall great value for the price. Highly recommend.

Best stay during our trip

Olivia was the perfect host with an amazing eye for detail. The property was truly magnificent. We loved the house but most of all, we loved the dinners! Make sure you stay for dinner because chef Elena makes great food and the outdoor dinner setting is exceptional. We’d love to come back here!

Superb

Five stars – We had a wonderful stay at Tenuta Di Paternostro. It is a magical place immersed in nature with all the comforts of modern amenities. Our host, Olivia, and her staff were truly kind and made us feel just like at home. The property in general and our suite were very clean and exquisitely decorated. We had breakfast while seeing the horses graze in the surrounding field. The highlight of our stay was having drinks in the barn at sunset followed by a delicious dinner. We highly recommend Tenuta Di Paternostro and cannot wait to be back some time very soon.

Meravigliosa esperienza

È già il secondo anno che torniamo da Olivia, nella stupenda Tenuta di Paternostro. L'esperienza è sempre meravigliosa, quest'anno poi ci siamo goduti ancora di più la tenuta prendendoci il giusto tempo noi. Come sempre al nostro arrivo siamo stati accolti da tutto lo staff come se fossimo parte della famiglia. È inutile dire che colazione, pranzo e cena sono stati superlativi, in un'atmosfera magica. Quando torneremo il prossimo anno già sappiamo che non rinunceremo ad almeno una delle fantastiche cene di Romi.

Attenzione può creare dipendenza!

Tutto! Ambiente estremamente rilassante con Olivia che è una persona fantastica e un ospite eccezionale! La struttura è in uno stile che dimostra molta attenzione ai dettagli. La struttura in sé è un opera d’arte! Esternamente c’è la possibilità di stare in una piscina bassa ma stupenda e rinfrescante. C’è una grande piattaforma con tenda che dà la possibilità di fare yoga (la Mia prima lezione ma non sarà l’ultima!). Camere pulitissime! Letti molto comodi con cuscini comodi! Cena e colazione ottime con un servizio impeccabile. Posto silenziosissimo! Unico difetto è che di notte vedi le stelle e la luna e ti innamori di questo posto e ti tocca tornare… e così sarà!

Dejligt uforstyrret sted med masser af charme og personlighed.

Dejligt værelse i smukke omgivelser. Dejligt værtsskab, fin morgenmad, gode senge og skønne fællesområder m.m. Skønt poolområder, selvom poolen ikke er til de aktive vandhunde. Men det fungerede fint alligevel. Vi spiste på stedet en aften, og selvom det måske var lidt dyrt, så var det alle pengene værd. Meget lækkert.

Jeg savnede en air-con, for der var varmt på værelserne. Vi havde en fan og det var ok. Dog ville en Dyson som kan køle gøre underværker.

Un posto incredibile

Siamo una coppia a cui piace scoprire nuovi posti ma soprattutto trovare situazioni che ci fanno sentire a casa. E nella scelta del posto in cui trascorrere il nostro weekend, dalle prime foto abbiamo capito che la Tenuta di Paternostro poteva fare al caso nostro. È stato proprio così, non ci sbagliavamo. È, come amano definirsi loro, una “casa di famiglia”..Olivia (la proprietaria), Romy (il cuoco,ma non solo) e Michela sono speciali nel prendersi cura dei loro ospiti. È stato bello conoscere gli altri ospiti della struttura e condividere con loro il tramonto e l’aperitivo nella tenda beduina..davvero un’idea bellissima di Olivia. Noi abbiamo scelto anche di cenare lì perché c’era un’atmosfera davvero speciale (qui si è sempre liberi di scegliere la location dove pranzare, cenare o fare colazione). Le portate, preparate tutte con materie prime del loro orto e prodotti locali, hanno reso tutto ancora più perfetto. Ci torneremo sicuramente.

Senza la proprietaria Tenuta pater nostro non sarebbe la stessa!

Un’oasi di relax….la proprietaria, molto accogliente, gentile e attenta a tutto…. Romi tutto fare preziosissimo! Ho fatto un massaggio strepitoso, siamo andati a cenare a Cimarola, a 40 min di macchina dalla tenuta, in un ristorante consigliatoci dalla signora, “trattoria del cimino”… buonissimo.

Forse amplierei un pochino la piscina!.

Fortemente consigliato

La Tenuta si trova in una posizione eccezionale in mezzo ad una campagna rigogliosa di svariati ettari, con ulivi e cavalli che girano in libertà. Camere accoglienti e spaziose arredate con gusto. Colazione abbondante e di qualità. La proprietaria Olivia ci ha accolto in maniera calorosa e ci ha fatto sentire subito a casa. La prima sera abbiamo cenato in Tenuta con i loro prodotti e ci siamo trovati benissimo. Abbiamo passato un bellissimo weekend in mezzo alla natura ed alla pace più assoluta, Lo consiglio fortemente.

Liebe Olivia, du hast einen Ort geschaffen, den man sich nicht einmal erträumen könnte. Vom ersten Moment an haben wir uns bei dir wohlgefühlt. Deine Gastfreundschaft und Herzlichkeit sind außergewöhnlich, und alle Mitarbeiter haben uns unglaublich liebevoll behandelt. Besonders Romy hat uns abends stets mit seinen köstlichen Gerichten überrascht. Euer Ort hat unseren Urlaub zu einem ganz besonderen Erlebnis gemacht, das wir nie vergessen werden. Von tollem Essen, über die schönsten Sonnenuntergänge bis hin zu leckerem Wein, es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Wir freuen uns schon darauf, wiederzukommen, und hoffen, dass jeder einmal die Chance hat, diesen wunderbaren Ort zu erleben. Danke, Olivia und Romy! P.S. Die Erfahrungen, wie sie beispielsweise von Pieter geschildert wurden (wir waren zur selben Zeit vor Ort), können wir absolut nicht teilen. Im Gegenteil, dies ist sicherlich kein Ort, der von strengen Regeln beherrscht wird. Ein einziges Gespräch mit der Gastgeberin zeigt, dass dies ein Ort der Freiheit und Entspannung ist.

Ein Stück Paradies - Genuss pur und umgeben von Natur Energie tanken

Als Erstes hat uns die Herzlichkeit und Aufgeschlossenheit von Olivia, der Gastgeberin (wie auch von ihrem Personal) begeistert. Wir hatten keine Ahnung was es in Lazio zu sehen gibt. Olivia erklärte und unterstützte uns und wir haben in wenigen Tagen sehr viel an Kultur erfahren, sowie in den, von ihr empfohlenen, Restaurants genussvoll speisen dürfen (auch hier anerbot sich Olivia immer die Reservation zu übernehmen). Das Haus ist eingebettet in Natur pur rundherum. Überall finden sich lauschige Plätze und ist man umgeben von Blumen, Oliven-Bäumen und dem wohligen Schnaupen der Pferde. Die Zimmer sind sehr stilvoll und warm eingerichtet - man fühlt sich sofort zu Hause. Das Wohnzimmer bietet ebenfalls überaus grosszügigen Platz und erzählt durch seine geschmackvolle Einrichtung aus diversen Ländern Geschichten. Ein weiteres Highlight war das Abendessen im Tenuta di Paternostro - der Aperitif im Garten, das Essen in der Laube, alles mit Liebe zum Detail hergerichtet und die Speisen wunderbar. Wir haben in diesen Tagen mit den Menschen vom Tenuta di Paternostro auch viel gelacht! Herzlichen Dank für die schöne Zeit an Olivia und ihr Team!
